Reason? Because of its beautiful hills and wonderful medieval hilltop towns. This part of Italy is pure paradise. Stretching from Siena from the north to Montepulciano in the east, and including Pienza, Monticchiello and Montalcino, and, this part makes for a fantastic road tour. Get lost on the Cyprus-lined back roads of the Val d\u2019Orcia and you are sure to have your breath taken away by the mindblowing rolling landscape of this region. Get yourself one Agriturismo, rent a car for some days, and see this part of Italy that is famous because of its wine and photographic beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sicily<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mostly ignored by visitors for the more popular destinations in the farther north, Sicily has a world of its own and is a great reason to visit Italy. Having an extraordinary mix of Greek temples, Norman churches, and Roman mosaics. Sicily is a melting pot of cultures showcasing thousands of years of foreign occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the magnificent scenery of Taormina to the efficiently preserved Temples of Agrigento and the beautiful Cathedral of Monreale, Sicily has plenty to offer those who venture to the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Food<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A better part of the whole Italian experience is without a doubt its food. The separate regions of Italy all have their own specialties but does not matter where you are, you will have wonderful cuisine. And if you have an opportunity to have a home-cooked meal you must jump at the chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All the way from the delicious seafood of Venice, Sicily, and Cinque Terre, right through the homemade pasta of Tuscany, you will not be disappointed at all. Try the wonderful prosciutto, salami, and cheeses of a typical antipasto and by every means try once a pesto pasta dish in Cinque Terre, which is known as the birthplace of this basil, pine nut, garlic and olive oil creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And of course, the wine. No Italian meal is complete without a great house wine.
