One of the longest and toughest is \u201cGrundst\u00fccksverkehrsgenehmigungszust\u00e4ndigkeits\u00fcbertragungsverordnung<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (regulation on the delegation of authority concerning land conveyance permissions). This neologism comes through officialese. But do not panic, such tapeworm words can almost always be broken down into their more intelligible parts. For instance, \u201cStaubsauger<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (vacuum cleaner) combined of the words \u201cdust\u201d and \u201csucking\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
