Every language just like every culture can become stereotyped, and German is not unique to this. There are lots of jokes regarding the German language, several of them revolving the same theme, that the German language sounds aggressive, even while it is used describing gentle concepts. This has been the case with this wonderful language.
Such is the case of jokes around the German language even several comedians found it a great tool to entertain their audiences. Yes, even some Germans do admit that at times the languages sound like being angry, but what several people do not know or aware that there are also plenty of pretty and wonderful words in German too. We all know that Germany has a rich literary heritage. And no literature can be completed with good words that sound awesome too.

Wanderlust
Wanderlust is mostly used in English. It is similar to another word “Fernweh” but a bit different – the desire to travel around, see new destinations, and not remain in one place.
Fernweh
This is the opposite of homesickness, rather, it is the feeling of desiring for a place you have never been to. It is perfect for when you wish to get away and try something new.
Luftkuss
This is the act of blowing somebody a kiss through the air “Ein Luftkuss“
Frühlingsgefühle
This is an awesome word used to describe a feeling of excitement for nice weather during the Spring, just like the sun is coming out, the flowers blossom and the trees are green.
Zeitgeist
German is such a wonderful language that English speakers required it to import this word into their own language. It is used to describe the prevalent spirit of an era. This word is so pretty because it explains something in a single word when you usually have to use a whole sentence.
Geborgenheit
There was a time when this word was voted the 2nd most beautiful in the German language and it is said impossible to translate. It is a feeling strongly linked with artists, mostly felt at intensely emotional moments, like for returning home at a long time, or holding someone you love closely. It actually means to exist and feel intensely in the moment.
