In Spain, Denominación de Origen is a classification for food and labeling systems. Food and wine producers in certain regions can use Denominación de Origen labels to certify that the products come from specific regions.

Wine, vinegar, olive oil, cured ham, cheese, and other products can have denominación de origen status. Normally, these labels are a certification of top quality.

Ecológico: Organic

When talking of organic foods, the Spanish language has a few separate words at its disposal. In some areas of the Spanish-speaking world, people will say cognate, orgánico. Alternatively, you can see the word ecológico.

An alimento ecológico (organic food) is made without chemicals or pesticides. Also, the word ecológico means that the food is produced in an eco-friendly way.

There are two Spanish words for melt one is fundir while other is derretir.

When something melts naturally, then derretir is used while if something melts purposefully then fundir is used. Like in melted cheese in pizza.

Aliñar: To Dress (a Salad)

This word is used for adding seasoning or flavor to a dish. It is mostly used when one is putting salt, oil and vinegar on salads.

Rebozar: Batter-Dip, Fry, and Bread

This is used for food that is covered in egg, flour, or some other ingredient and is fried until it becomes crunchy.

En su punto: Cooked to Perfection

This phrase is generally, said when one talks about meat, bread, cakes or any food that has been made in just the right amount of time. It is a lot more specific when compared to esta bueno.

Exquisito: Exquisite

The meaning is quite simple. This is used ahead of any other words such as rico, bueno or deliciso.

Soso: Tasteless

Any food that lacks seasoning or flavor and specifically, if it lacks salt. Then, it is described as soso.
